The Project Management certificate is designed to prepare students to manage small to large scale projects in a variety of different industries.  Students will develop detailed project plans, while managing risk processes and project performance.  This certificate will lay a solid foundation for students that want to pursue the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, the student will be able to:

  1. Develop comprehensive project documentation, including a project charter, cost and time estimates, stakeholder engagement plan, and a detailed project plan.
  2. Manage the risk process and project performance to ensure project success and alignment with stakeholder needs and objectives.
  3. Apply tools for planning, executing, and delivering projects in a simulated project environment.
  4. Demonstrate readiness for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification exam by mastering key concepts, terminology, and processes while practicing with CAPM-style questions and scenarios.
