Builds on the foundational writing skills introduced in COM 1110 and emphasizes critical thinking, rhetorical literacy, and communication skills to promote skilled academic writing. Using scholarly texts as the course content, students focus upon essay writing in multiple genres. This course aims to develop the student's ability to read and synthesize scholarly texts into a well-supported researched argument.
