SRG 2610 — Surgical Technology Capstone
Reinforces previously learned surgical technology concepts, clinical applications, and legal and ethical practices as defined by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Emphasis is placed on job search strategies, professionalism, communication, and continuing education requirements. Students will engage with their Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) membership and examine various healthcare delivery and accrediting agencies. The course provides an opportunity for prospective graduates to demonstrate achievement of program and general education learning outcomes and to prepare and complete the NBSTSA certification examination.
